Animation test

Here's a rough animation of the "girl" critter twirling around. I'm having trouble viewing animated gifs in my browser, so I don't know if the above image animates for you - if not, you can see it here. I'm super rusty at drawn animation, so please, let me know if you have any advice!

looks awesome, mary! you didnt get rusty at all! maybe this is just my aesthetic, but i wouldnt mind seeing a stronger antic, like with her top tentacles going up more on the antic. also it often feels nice to inclue a push-off frame too, where the legs are just about to disconnect from the ground. -sean

hey mary
I agree with sean, i think i stronger antic may make a nice difference....the "spin" seems almost graceful, so maybe the long antic could be like a ballerinas bow....slow an elegent and then pop into this graceful turnaround?

Hi Mary,
great to see another familar face blogging. :) Your stuff reminds me a great deal of Michel Gagne:

Your thumbnails are amazing and very detailed. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks guys! Link away, Jim, I linked to yours as well. Thanks so much for the advice Dan and Sean. I think what both of you said will definitely help and I'm going to revise it with your suggestions when I get a chance. I love blogs! Free direction! Yay!
Hi Keelmy! Thanks for reminding me about Michael Gange. Someone else told me I should look at him, but that was awhile ago. I just looked at the site and I'm loving the Batman: Spore comic art. Great reference for me for the backgrounds.
